Well, I finally came full circle and purchased another Mazdaspeed 6, this time in whitewater pearl mica color. I was tired of the Grand Prix's, I had had 3 of them the past 4 years and was ready for a change (or throwback). I never really got over selling my last MS6 and missed alot of things about it, namely the 6 speed transmission and the torque-y turbo'd four cylinder. This one comes with the two-tone interior which is a major plus. It's a GT like my last one so has the sunroof, leather, advanced key etc..I found this one in MN so my dad and I cruised up there and looked at it, liked it, bought it and drove it home. I had forgot just what a pleasure it is to drive these cars. They are thrilling, yet reserved, if that makes any sense. Check out the pics below, I think you'll agree this one looks better than the red.
This past Saturday I entered the Viper in a Road Rally here in Iowa and dang was it a blast. We cruised the backroads of farm country for about 7 hours. Seeing the looks on peoples faces when all these hot cars blasted through their neighborhood was priceless.
There were all kinds of cars entered, from pedestrian sedans to Evo's to BMW's to Vette's to Ferrari's and even a Mosler MT900 made an appearance. The Molser, IMO, stole the show. I'm used to people tripping over themselves to get a look at the Viper, but that reaction is magnified with the Mosler. It truly is a supercar and around here, that is very rare. If you've never heard of the Mosler (as I never had) do some googling and read up on these rare machines. Pics of the Rally below.0)
My dad's looking at getting a Shebly GT500 and found a good looking one just down the street at the local dealer. It's a used 2010 with very low miles. I like it too (it looks uber mean in the all black), but told him he's crazy if he trades the viper in on it. Let's compare why it's crazy shall we:
1.Horsepower - Viper has 600, GT500 has 540
2. Viper quicker in the 1/4 by about 1.5 secs
3. It's a freakin rare Viper and there are a ton of stangs on the road
